About Us

The Bio2Device Group is the first peer volunteer organization of its kind in Silicon Valley to focus on the convergent needs of engineers, scientists, and others working in the biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. The group was founded in 2003.

Why was The Bio2Device Group created?

In 2003, during the significant economic downturn the Bay Area's biotechnology community experienced, the founders of the B2DG recognized a need to create a forum for the large number of experienced displaced community members to come together to share information about employment opportunities in the medical device, pharmaceutical and related biotechnology sectors. Prior to that time, no grassroots effort had been undertaken to serve this group of professionals. The concept was so well received that NOVA agreed to provide support.

In addition to message postings on almost any topic you find relevant to your interests or presentations by invited speakers, members can also post files, links, and other databases online that may be helpful to other biospace professionals.
